WRAL Soccer Park is one of the premier outdoor complexes in the Southeast, featuring 22 fields, including one turf stadium field with seating for 2,500 and 5 additional turf fields; the facility is home to NC Football Club Youth, and also hosts many state, regional and national tournaments. The retaining wall was constructed as part of the 2015 renovations to the park in order to provide space for additional fields. The retaining wall also works in conjunction with the below-ground drainage system that helps the keep the fields dry and in use all year round.
