In 2011, Vertical Walls was contracted to install the ACB (Articulated Concrete Block) Matting for the City of Raleigh Lake Johnson Dam Revetment project. A tropical storm caused the undermining of the dam spillway. Installing ACB Matting allows the dam embankment to withstand overtopping. The installation of this type of slope stabilization is one the largest of its kind in the Nation. We were able to complete this project in just a few short months for the City of Raleigh.
